Last August 12, 2017 the City of Manila hosted a Mission Day; the fourth so far for the Philippines. The event was sponsored by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Department of Tourism (DOT), National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), and the Intramuros Administration in line with the country’s celebration of National Heroes Day and Buwan ng Wika.
Participants were granted free entry to gated parks in Luneta and Fort Santiago for the day. Free snacks and swag from the local Ingress community were also shared.
The Mission Day took Agents to different tourist destinations in the city from the wildlife in Manila Zoo to the historic streets of Old Manila. The Mission medals included:

- Luneta National Park
- Intramuros
- Fort Santiago

- Museums
- National Museum
- Schools and other government buildings
- UP Manila and Philippine General Hospital
- Manila City Hall
- Malacañan Palace
- University of Santo Tomas
Over 300 agents from various parts of Metro Manila, nearby provinces, and nearby countries joined the thus far most attended Mission Day in the Philippines.
